On the web, you can stop any video from playing by pressing the pause button at the bottom left corner, and can turn off sound via your device settings.

I read my news because it is a faster, more revealing way to get news, un-muddied and slowed down by blathering talking heads.
If I wanted to watch the news, I'd watch TV.
I don't mind static ads. And I don't mind paying for my news. But I don't want TV. From now on, I'll never go to Huffpost and instead will focus on sites where I can read.
